Some of the items on this list might sound harsh and you couldn’t possibly imagine that someone might have these conclusions, but many do. Paralysis is not fun. I don’t like it and I would appreciate a cure like yesterday. But, the more people that understand our situation, the better our lives can be until then.

A new report from Open Secrets shows that, for the first time, the average member of Congress is worth more than $1 million. It’s hard to say how much more, because the House has adopted the Senate’s less stringent financial reporting requirements, but most representatives are, as they used to say back home, “pretty well fixed.” More than half of them are worth more than $1 million, according to Open Secrets.
“We’ve found that when communities work together on problems, they come up with creative solutions,” Gayle said.
“You can take a community where girls and women have been systematically excluded from education and health… but… you actually can shift the dialogue,” Gayle continued.
